It would be nice to see a chart comparing and contrasting the different systems: (capabilities, requirements, user base, what point in the product life cycle is each in[beta, stable, mature, near-abandoned], benchmarks, redundancy, security, ...) 

Also it would be nice to see which of the systems would be interchangeable if any, or the level of difficulty involved in changing systems mid path.

What interesting insights, suggestions, or thoughts can you offer for the developer to consider?

In addition to the comparison chart above, it would be important to consider how we would use the system (i.e. where it would be hosted EC2) and if that would raise any issues with any of the various systems.  Do any of the systems have requirements outside of our desired hosting environment's capabilities.
